Founded in 1946, Pakistan International Airlines commonly known as PIA or Pakistan International is the national flag carrier airline of Pakistan. The airline has its headquarters at Jinnah International Airport. With a fleet size of twenty seven aircrafts, it serves scheduled services in sixty six destinations including destinations in Asia, Europe and North America. Pakistan International Airline has its main hubs at Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad/Rawalpindi, and secondary hubs at Peshawar, Faisalabad, Quetta, Sialkot and Multan. Pakistan International Airlines is the first Asian airline to operate a jet aircraft and Boeing 737 aircraft. It today remains by far Pakistan's largest airline with a fleet size of twenty seven aircrafts. The airline employs nearly 19,000 people as of July 2014.
