Government Museum

One of the oldest museums in India, the Government Museum was established in 1857 and comprises six independent buildings that together feature 46 galleries relating to archaeology, zoology, botany, geology, and numismatics. Central to them all is the Bronze Gallery, known for its 7th century Bronze artifacts that are an undeniable hallmark of Indian craftsmanship of the times when the art of metallurgy was at its undeniable best in the subcontinent.
