Fort Good Hope (YGH) is one of the oldest settlements in Mackenzie River situated in the Sahtu region of Canada. The far northern region of Canada relies primarily on hunting, fishing and trapping as its main source of livelihood. Head to ‘Our Lady of Good Hope Church’ which is also a national heritage site. Built by father Emile Petitot in 1860s, the site is of immense religious significance and is decorated with frescoes and murals.
