The capital and largest city of the Guanacaste province in Costa Rica, Liberia is located around 215 kilometers northwest of San Jose. This city is the prominent hub for the tourism industry of Costa Rica. Located south of Liberia, Africa Safari Adventure Park is a private wildlife park expanded in around 100 hectares. Dating back to 1866, Church of La Ermita La Agonia is a stunning church that boasts lovely architecture. The building also features a museum that exhibits 19th century Liberian culture and art through antique clothes, sculptures, furniture, and books.

An embodiment of military abolishment, Museo de Guanacaste is located in the center of Liberia. The museum portrays works of lot of national and local artists.
